How to cook
Cut the cheese into thin slices — the thinner they are, the faster they melt.
Put the block of cheese flat side down on the board so it cannot rock under the knife.
Butter one side of each slice of bread. Build the sandwich with the buttered sides facing out and the cheese inside.
Heat a dry pan over medium heat, lay the sandwich in and fry for 3 minutes until golden.
Flip the sandwich with a spatula, not your fingers, and fry for another 3 minutes — the cheese inside should be stringy.
The crust browns faster than the cheese melts. If the bread is already brown but the cheese is still firm, lower the heat and cover the pan for a minute.
Turn off the hob, move the sandwich to a board and let it sit for a minute — melted cheese is very hot. Enjoy!
