How to cook
Finely chop the onion, garlic and seeded chili. Dice the tomatoes, shred the lettuce into thin strips, chop the cilantro and cut the lime into wedges.
Wash your hands with soap after cutting the chili and keep them away from your eyes.
Heat the oil over high heat and fry half the onion with the garlic and chili for 2 minutes. Add the beef and cook for 8–10 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula, until no pink remains and the liquid has cooked off.
Add the cumin, paprika, oregano, salt and 3 tbsp of water. Stir and cook for 3 more minutes until the beef is juicy but not wet.
Warm the tortillas in a dry frying pan for 30 seconds on each side and wrap them in a towel to keep warm.
Top each tortilla with beef, lettuce, tomatoes, the rest of the raw onion and cilantro. Squeeze over some lime and serve with the lime wedges. Enjoy!
